Whoops, they were Trigonostigma espei!

Well, I was close. I thought they were Harlequins when it turns out they are Copper Harlequins / Lamp Chop Harlequins, or in Latin: Trigonostigma espei. I’d bought a group of five last week!

One died on Tuesday 26th Jan, I am unsure how it died as I was unable to find any remains of it. There was a small Ammonia spike of 0.25 ppm which was remedied by several water changes over the days following. The four remaining espei were happy, except a little lonely in their small shoal.

To fix their loneliness I purchased two more espei this morning. They are now much more brave and no longer use the large rock in the aquarium as a hiding place!
